Educational Qualification:
Candidates
who have completed MBBS/MD/MS, Masters Degree
or equivalent from a recognized Institute are Eligible to apply JIPMER

2. Physiology - i. A Medical qualification
included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian
Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part
II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13
(3) of the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Physiology or a
recognized qualification equivalent thereto
3. Biochemistry - i. A Medical qualification
included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian
Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part
II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13
(3) of the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Biochemistry or
a recognized qualification equivalent thereto
4. Community Medicine - i. A Medical qualification
included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian
Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part
II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13
(3) of the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Community
Medicine or a recognized qualification equivalent
5. Pathology - i. A Medical qualification
included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian
Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part
II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13
(3) of the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Pathology or a
recognized qualification equivalent thereto
6. Microbiology - i. A Medical qualification included
in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical
Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or
third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of
the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Microbiology or a recognized
qualification equivalent thereto
7. Pharmacology - i. A Medical qualification included
in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical
Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or
third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of
the Act.) ii. A Postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D in Pharmacology or a
recognized qualification equivalent thereto
8. Forensic Medicine and Toxicology - i. Post Graduate
Qualifications, i.e. Master’s Degree in Pharmacology or allied subjects. ii. A
Doctorate (Ph. D) Degree from a recognized University/institute.

Relaxable
by five (5) years in case of post reserved for SC /ST candidates and three (3)
years for the post reserved for OBC candidate as per rules of the Govt. of
India. Relaxation for Persons with Disabilities is admissible as per rules.

Pay Scale:
A)
Professor: Level 14A (159100 - 220200) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay
Rs.1,59,100/- per month and other allowances as admissible.
B)
Additional Professor: Level 13A2 (139600 - 211300) as per 7th CPC with minimum
pay Rs.1, 39,600/-per month and other allowances as admissible.
C)
Associate Professor: Level 13A1 (131400 - 204700) as per 7th CPC with minimum
pay Rs.1, 31,400/- per month and other allowances as admissible.
D)
Assistant Professor: Level 12 (101500 - 167400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay
Rs.1, 01,500/- per month and other allowances as admissible.
E) Senior
Resident: Level 11 (67700 - 150800) of 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.67, 700/-
per month and other allowances as admissible
F) Tutor /
Demonstrator: Level 10 (56100 - 124500) of 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.56, 100/-
per month and other allowances as admissible
